This place is awesome and consistently yummy!! Our go to's are:
samosa chaat - crispy, flavorful and accompanied by the perfect toppings
Tikka masala - simply perfect
Biryani (sp?) rice - really enjoy the saffron seasoning
Butter or Garlic & basil naan - both are decent. We've tried a few more types, but they weren't our favorite.
I just recently tried the complimentary chai and was pretty impressed.
We always used to order delivery, but then we later discovered how much more amazing it is to have there :). Highly recommend!! -

Good, authentic cuisine. Great flavors and spiciness. Very affordable. Nothing on the menu exceeds $20. There are vegan & pescatarian options. The place has a very soothing ambiance with music playing in the background. The waitstaff is really nice and attentive. Never ran out of bread or water.

I came here with my friend the other day, and it was okay. We came a little later than the usual lunch crowd, and ordered a few things.
Lamb Biriyani - Was okay. They have whole spices in there, and biting into a giant coriander seed part way through was not fun. The rice didn't seem quite well mixed, but I might have been comparing it to homemade biriyani. So...higher bar.
Tikka Masala - I mean, if your restaurant is named that, this should be good, right? It was also...okay. Not really complex, but it got the job done.
Okra - I didn't know what to expect with this, but we wanted veggies, so this was a good choice. The okra was done well, and not slimy.
Naan - This was the single best thing. It's a thin naan, but was still fluffy. WHAT IS THIS MAGIC?!
Service-wise, it was pretty good. I think because we were the only folks here, they were extra attentive. But the space is small, and the staff are nice. If you're by UCSF, it's a good place to drop by for a quick meal. -

A bare bones restaurant that serves delicious Indian food next to UCSF. You don't go here for the ambience, you go here for the food and friendly faces.
I have eaten there several times and can attest for the naan, veg tikka masala and chicken tikka kebab. Looks like it is family run and they seem to know a lot of their customers. -

So I went with my mom and her friends and the food was alright but not something I would want when I'm super hungry. The vegetarian paneer was good but the cheese wasn't very delicious. The chicken butter masala was the best by far. I didn't care for the fish masala. I ordered a mango lassi and it just tasted like mango, not enough yogurt. I had one chai tea and then we were sitting and they didn't make any more. It says they close at 10 pm but the closed earlier than expected. The naan was good though.
